Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add friends?
You can add friends by sending them a friend request through their phone number. They'll receive a notification and can accept or decline your request.
How does location sharing work?
YAPP shows your location to friends when you're online. You can control this in your privacy settings. Location is only shared with friends you've connected with.
What are auto statuses?
Auto statuses are automatically detected based on your device state: Driving (when moving above 15 MPH), On Call (during phone calls), Do Not Disturb, and Silent Mode.
How do I change my status?
Tap on your profile picture or status area in the app to update your custom status message. Auto statuses will override custom statuses when detected.
Why can't I see my friends in the widget?
Make sure you have friends added and they're online. The widget shows friends who are currently active. Try refreshing the widget by opening the main app.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings in the app and look for the "Delete Account" option. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data.
I'm not receiving notifications
Check your device's notification settings for YAPP. Make sure notifications are enabled and not blocked by Do Not Disturb mode.
